Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The "go to quoted post" link doesn't work for me on the above, but only when the page first loads from the main 41 page or when clicking on the page number navigation. If I'm already on page 86 and force a reload, the link then does work.

They get a lot of discussion in C&V. They're still making some nice bikes though.

Our shop is a Fuji dealer. One of our junior racers is on a Fuji Supreme and loves it. I have a Fuji Cross that has been a great CX racer/gravel bike. A few of the local fast CX racers are on Fujis.

You might be able to lace up some 26ers with 290s - certain single wall rims in a four cross would use 290

Fake mile up the Ventoux on Rouvy this morning. Not venturing out until I no longer have a Superfund site in my sinuses.

I may also be slightly fibbing about my weight on Rouvy to make their love of inside climbing workable.

That Panny looks a lot like it should be ridden by someone from AG's alma mater.

As for Fuji, it's the name of a mountain, so multiple companies named for it would be like multiple companies named for the Rockies here, and of course we have countless of those.

But I don't have 290; I need 290. But thanks for the tip about different crossings to adjust spoke length. I've begun considering a spoke threading tool.

I ate something, last evening, which didn't agree with me. I passed the night in pain and wishing mightily that I could throw up. This morning, after evacuating from the other end, it finally came. Do I feel any better? Marginally. I can't even enjoy my coffee, though, if I can get it down, it will help, I think.
Any good games on this afternoon?

Packers @ Niners and TItans @ KC. Chalk says the winners will be the home teams, but the Titans have convincingly thumped teams favored to beat them before (and "thumped" is the operative term). Meanwhile, Rodgers is never to be underestimated. Personally, I sided with the defense in both cases, so my SB would be Titans-Niners. Offense is cute, but there have been way too many cases of "high-flying unstoppable offenses" suddenly being stoppable at the end of the season (a couple of times the Patriots, the Broncos with Peyton the first time, the Rams, the Cardinals, the Ravens the last two times, KC last year) and even more in the college games) for me to pick them.

There is a good chance we may want an extra car for a few months this summer. I googled the usual suspects for monthly car rentals and they want a ridiculous amount. Anyone know a line on reasonably priced monthly car rentals? It can be an old crappy car, would be for one of my daughters.

Also, even after clearing whatever disagreed with you, you are likely still quite inflamed on the inside.
