Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Spreading a steel bike 126 to 130 is usually no problemo.

I have a thing for early '80s Corollas.

Got almost all of the down stairs completed. I definitely underestimated how long painting took. I also didn’t think every wall was going to need two coats. Wife added the laundry room in the mix, but I politely gave her that pet project. Just have to re roll the down stairs hall way then up to the master. The master is massive and is a horrible shade of maroon. I’m expecting two coats of primer and two coats of paint. Estimation it will take all day.

Planning on doing the group ride tomorrow am, but I think I will drive there instead of riding my bike to the starting line.

My Dad had a 1971 Citroen DS21, till it rusted out and then he bought a 1972 from a Southern state that his Cit mechanic obtained. Imagine just how strange that car was in rural Pennsylvania!

We gave our toaster oven to daughter #1 , so this is a fancy schmancy toaster oven. Plus you can fry air with it. Possibly.

Yeah, that one. My boss had one back then and he was in a DeLorean club so club members would bring theirs in for me to work on. I got to know them a bit and knew the common fixes. They weren't fast with 135hp or so but they were fun to drive partly because you were almost supine while behind the wheel. The automatic sucked, much better with the 5 speed stick.

2 of our customers had them painted, 1 black and 1 red. It was quite a process to get paint to adhere to the stainless steel.

Friend of mine had one and kept it going. However, he had been an Electrician’s Mate on submarines for years and had also converted a classic VW to electric motor from scratch, so he wasn’t exactly normal.

The 944 and the second generation BMW 3 Series were introduced in '82.

I thought the 944s and 924s were so cheesy back in the day. Then one day in the mid-90s I drove one around a bit and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Going to the Doctor tomorrow. This was not a software hiccup. 2020 can KMA

I was born/delivered in a 1950 Chevy (in 1951). Should I try to find one?

Tough day on the lawn today. I spent two hours cleaning up debris from Laura. Then, before I had even boarded the lawn tractor, another rainstorm rolled in and blew even more branches to the ground.
Finally got going, but when I had about half an hour left to go a second downpour hit.

The weather hates me.
