Several times this winter I've had this weird phenomenon where I'm a bit chilled, and then I go outside under-dressed (for example to the car or out in the yard) and then I suddenly get real cold/shivering-like. And then my hips (mostly, but perhaps my knees, too) start to seize up so that I have a hard time walking. I have to go like at half normal stride.
Once I get warmed up again I'm back to "normal."
Is there a name for this?

We have been getting a wintry mix all morning after very light snow last night. Things just turned back to sleet from rain. I can hear it hitting my office window.
