Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just got back from a nice 35 miler. I got to wear short sleeves today

It was hilariously windy though, at east 20mph straight from the South.

Thankfully it was one of those rare days that I was able to just make peace with the wind and not let it bother me. Some of the gusts were so strong that it just made me chuckle at how much I was getting blown around

I take it the Windsor has the Sora?
yea the windsor has sora. It’s 58 cm so if I get it I might just make that my daily rider.

Uhm, pretty sure Sora is 9 speed so that could be an issue. Unless you are comparing with 10 years old 105, of course.

Or 40. In that realm it is fully compatible

It's been over a year now since my last day at Performance, thusly it's been over a year since I've properly cleaned any if my cassettes.

I'm at the Freddie's Custard right next to Harbor Freight....

Flight is pretty full, but I’ve got a premium economy seat with unlimited legroom and no one next to me. Wife is visible in the business cabin. I’d rather have the new wheels+.

Inflatable/foam skinny ass cushion is also an essential.

First real miles since accident. It was nice to be out, but I felt a little jumpy.
Hopefully I can settle down.

Originally I was thinking of swapping the rear derailer and cassette to my CAAD but, like I said if I like it I might just ride the windsor. You can’t beat 60 bucks. Pictures look okay, I havnt seen it in person yet.

Sunny and mid-50s. Lots of people out. Kids on bikes. Adults on bikes.

Spring starts on the vernal equinox. Fall stars on the autumnal equinox. Winter and summer start on the solstices.
