You bet, MoAlpha. It was eye-opening once I started looking into this stuff. Labdoor was a big help.

My ex and I lived in a 2 story house with the kitchen above the second bedroom I had a weight bench in the second bedroom. We loaded the dishwasher before going to sleep and woke up to a rain sound. Stupid dishwasher drained onto the kitchen floor and it seeped through and was dripping on the weight bench.

We continue to get nightly rain. Ten nights/days in a row now, including two tropical storms. 13" total so far. Thankfully it has moved to nights only, because the herbage can take the day to dry out. If I get out there between 3 and 5, I can get a bit of weed eaten and raked up, before the next one rolls in around 5 or 6. One day I will again get on a bike. Seems like it won't be soon.

But if you disconnect the power cord it's only one.

Speaking of Sunday, I woke up this morning convinced it was Monday and was preparing to head out to my PT appointment. I showered and shaved, laid out an outfit and everything. Good thing my wife intervened.

We live rural; in Merida I am sure there are many clouds of them. In my traveling days, Merida was a known mosquito center.
So. We are not experiencing an issue. We use fans though, and screens. The locals use neither, and as such support waves of Dengue, Zika, Chikingunya, etc.

And speaking of fuses. Last week we had an intermittent issue in the main fuse box. Ultimately there was smoke involved. So I threw the main and opened it up to find a largish(#8?, #10 ?) cable pinched between the case and the cover, and burned through. I repaired it with a wire nut and threw the main. The breaker to which that wire is attached did not blow. I guess I should check to see what its voltage might be. The breaker functions just fine, in that it turns the circuit off and in as it should. It's a mystery.

There is a surprising population of frogs and toads in the area. We have a natural pool in the house, for our own private population, and fish too. But when it rains a lot and there is standing water, there are instant frog choruses all about. That said, yesterday as I was preparing the weed eater, I was in a cloud of them.

Got out for a ride with one of the guys. It was WIIIIINDY. We're talkin' a steady 15+ with some stronger gusts. We planned our route accordingly, but it didn't feel like we had all that much help on the back end of the ride. Oh well - still better than the couch.
