Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any electricians in the house? We just returned from the beach, visiting friends. Their electricity is always dicey there, Today, around 2:00, it began pulsing, as if something was being overloaded and tripped, and as soon as the pressure was off, it came back on. About a 5 second cycle. It was still at it when we left, at 6. I've given it a good deal of thought and can't come up with an explanation.

Ecstatic is over the top, but I would be interested in possibly understanding what exactly zone two is. Or not.

Heal up!
Didnt want to get between @Pirkaus and his docs, either, but wanted to say that I had never heard of a cardiac contusion without a. a big hit (fastball or bullet stopped by body armor) to the precordium or b. acute arrhythmia. I hope any abnormalities on the ECG are interpreted with due, Bayesian, caution.

That said, I’m here to learn.

It was explained to me, that the elevated enzyme levels could be do to impact with the vehicle. EKG in ER, and just another before release from the hospital, matched an EKG from 2017. As soon as I'm healed enough, my doctor's want the stress test and echocardiogram, be be sure there's nothing wrong.

We are in southern Delaware for a few days. I went out in the hot sun for a ride, I ran out of water. I kept hoping I would find a WaWa or other similar watering hole, but I was clearly in the middle of nowhere. After about 30 minutes of dry mouth and fatigue, I finally stopped at a house where I saw a woman in her driveway and asked her for water and she let me use her garden hose.

Stay hydrated, kids. The alternative is NOT pleasant.

Quite a pleasant morning. Mid-70s. Low humidity. Nice breeze. Walked to work for the first time in a while.

Same here. Took a short ride with Mrs. rjones28. She rode her trike and I was on the Roll. PR for her; rode up a hill that she'd never ridden, except on the ebike.

Guys - hot deal available locally. Let me know if you want me to pick it up for you - only $1500, but prolly won't last long at this price.

Correct. I was thinking about the Bear even as I was getting parched and weak. Double sad.

Very little shade. When I got some, it was a treat. We are in Southern Delaware, about 3 miles due west of Rehoboth.

This lady, I fear, was creeped out. She said “there is a hose in back” and made a break for her front door. I am 100% harmless, but she was still ascared.

Have you ridden to Cape Henlopen S.P.? in Lewis? Cool place. Very bike friendly. Gordon's Pond Trail is neat. It's mostly unpaved but smooth. Part of it is a boardwalk:

The Mrs. might like it. Saw dolphins when I was there.
