Far from its original chartreuse (which I loved), but still quite green and IMO very handsome. ‘73 Raleigh International.

We’re headed to Ireland in August.

I recently posted my Oak Green 1983 Fuji Royale II in the https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...ispreloading=1 thread. Here it is a week ago on its first outing in 2023:

1994 Univega Alpina 5.1.

^^^ The day we, uhhh, "retrieved" it. Found a CL "scraper" ad, in one of the pics we could JUST make out an old Univega and a not-so-old Hard Rock among the appliances and bulding materials and other scrap. Hopped in the truck, and as we turned onto the dude's street, there's Fred G. Sanford loading up his truck. Figured we'd offer him something for the bikes, but he had such a good haul otherwise he just let us have 'em. I returned the favor by airing up a perilously near-flat tire on his truck. We fixed up the '01 aluminum HardRock including a free (on recall) new suspension fork and sold it for $200. Decided to hang on to this one.

^^^^^ As it sits now. Managed to clean up the chain and freewheel. Found some cables and a pair of matching front canti arms in the menagerie.Otherwise the bike was complete. Seatpost was stuck, but not badly. Trigger shifters needed the usual "liquid rebuild". Everything else worked with some massaging. She's sporting a different rear wheel here, but the original was fine, I believe it's re-assigned to an old RockHopper that I bought sans wheelset. Paint needs some love, but no major exposure. Rides and shifts and stops like a dream.

Show your green bicycles!

I have two green bikes, a 1971 Raleigh Super Course with original and decrepit pain and a 1974 Raleigh International which I repainted green. I don't know what color the International was originally.

My only green bike, a 1999 Peugeot Dune mtn. bike with updated stem and handlebar and padded seat for greater comfort. Normally I run this with panniers on the back rack and use it run errands or get groceries but sometimes take it out for a cruise on rail trails.

Early 60s Bianchi Record. Bottom of the line, but pleasant to ride. I replaced the mismatched steel wheels with good aluminum wheels and some better parts. It's still heavy but is steady and pleasant to ride.

Schwinn Continental in Campus Green

Campus Green looks different in different light and was a classic Schwinn color. I got this Continental as a beat up/used up old bike with a black and rust frame with vines growing through the spokes and brake cables. It was rebuilt with aluminim rims, a Suntour rear derailleur, upright handlebars and Velo Orange Stainless Steel fenders..

Seems like one of my main colors lately has been "Aqua" so maybe I'll post this here and on blue month too.
1984 Cannondale ST400
Just the second year that Cannondale was building bikes.
The poster was cleaning out the garage, and it was for sale CHEAP. It was his dad's bike and just didn't suit his riding style (Second time I heard that last year!) - and they ran out of bike hooks.
600EX components when new, but it must have gone through a major upgrade ~'90 with a bunch of tricolor 600, delivering click sifting, 700c wheels and aero brake levers.

Should be a link back through my other "green" bikes here: https://www.bikeforums.net/22458945-post291.html

It's not really "my" bike, as I rebuilt it with the intent to move it on to someone else. But it's so cool and green, I haven't quite gotten around to doing that yet. Someday, though.

Taken at Venice Beach last August when I took the bike on a business trip - which also managed to fit in some seaside cruising.

I changed out the original 1-piece chainring for a 36 to put the mid-range gears into a more "spinning" setup.
