Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tell them to send you a return label and they could tell you to keep it.

Even for me to attempt to answer that for you potentially endangers my own karma. So . . . . . .

A lawyer took his daughter to work with him on "Take your daughter to work" day. After a few hours of sitting in the chair watching her dad shuffle papers, the daughter said she had a question and wanted to know what "ethics" are. The dad tried to explain, and then told her that an example might help.

He said, "Suppose I have a client that asks me to do some work. I do the work and the client is happy so I send the client a bill. The client sends a check to pay the bill, and when I get it I notice that the check is for $100.00 too much. Now, here's where ethics come in. I have to ask myself - do I tell my partner or not."

Since they are live-streaming, I expect they are using some sort of modern sound technology to achieve the desired quality.

I asked them to charge me for it. I can always use another chain. I give them an even chance of doing it.

Good on you! Now it's up to them.

My thought on that kind of situation is that if you ever have to ask the question, then you know the answer.

There is a gelatinous abomination on the break room table this morning. Supposedly for human consumption.

Somebody left a Burger King sausage, egg, and cheese croissant on your break room table?

I ran into one of my fellow cello class mates a few years back. She was still playing and part of the Virginia Symphony. She let me play hers and let’s just say it was not like riding a bike.

An internet investigation indicates it's called "broken glass jello"

Our school did not have an orchestra, only a band. There was a double bass hanging around but that's it as far as string instruments go, I think it was mostly used for our jazz ensemble. That was fun to play and felt pretty comfortable, so I've always been kind of looking for an electric cello. The full size acoustic ones are so big and louder than I want, especially if I was learning and living in an apartment.
