No. I used to run a laptop connected to the instrument bus by an RS232 connection, which put out position info over WiFi to tablets and phones running chart plotting apps, but it was too much of a power hog. Now we just use an iPad or phone with its own GPS in the cockpit when we need it.
You can get a WiFi multiplexer as part of an AIS transponder (radio vessel identifier and locator gizmo) for 275 bucks or so. I will probably do that one of these winters.

Does't look like there's any updates for the 510 from Garmin, either - it'd be nice if they'd send out a new firmware with more flash modes enabled and accessible by scrolling though with the power button.
I might put in requests/suggestions with both Garmin and Wahoo. Hopefully, enough user feedback will get one or both of them moving.
For shame!

In Steamboat, there were rental ebikes and rental etandems on the trails. Getting to the race starts and sign in was easiest on the bike trails, but coming back after people woke up, became very scary. Big business there.

What about the suicide fish? Do you eat those? You're surrounded by water. Get a bucket and cutting board and cook some fish for your wife.

I see the ebikes get impatient behind the cyclists downtown and make bad passes, helmetless and sometimes with kids. It's dangerous and only going to get worse when you have people with a throttle in the bike lane.

Although I still have a paketa.com sticker on my Tacoma, I just learned the domain is available for sale. I outlived the Paketa website. Sad.

GoDaddy says it's taken. Not sure by whom since it used to have an Out of Business home page.
One of the partners here became a judge this year and the firm name got shorter. When he started applying a couple years ago, I bought our new domain name just in case. Worked out well because short ones are getting tough.

Back in the day I did a lot of fishing from party boats along with my dad and my brother, mostly for bluefish and striped bass, mostly out of Montauk, sometimes out of Sheepshead, sometimes out of da Bronx. After a while I just got sick of getting sick on those Montauk boats, they were the worst because of the greater water depth I guess. Never met a calm day out on the water at Montauk. It was bad enough getting up before the crack of dawn, and bad enough driving 100 miles out to the boats and another 100 back, and bad enough having to clean all those fish once you got home . . . . but getting sick as a dog when you were supposed to be having fun just stopped making sense to me.

Seen the videos. Terrible! Seems to me, that pestilential biomass should be harvested for something. Flying fish are totally benign, as far as I know.

I have not seen the carp invasion, but here in Chester County PA we have a major invasion of the spotted lantern flies. I was at Target a few days ago and the entire outside of the building was covered with them.
When they are flying you can see their colors and it seems reminiscent of Nemo from "Finding Nemo."

IIRC, I read somewhere that the Illinois River has the highest Asian carp population in the world. Unheard of before the early '80s.

Is that good or bad for you guys, and also, what's the draw to being a judge in comparison to what he had there?

Out of nowhere he came to me a couple years ago and told me he wanted to be a judge. That disclosure changed a lot of stuff and the firm had to do some restructuring. Doesn't interest me but people like the black robe.

Home maintenance fiasco. Leaky kitchen faucet. I wrench my back under the sink messing around for an hour, only to finally realize I can solve the leak simply with a pair of new O rings.
