Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Depends on the route. All my rides are out-and-back, so the wind giveth and the wind taketh away.

@datlas I am moving my ride up to noon and out of peak temperature to accommodate the wife's wishes. Spineless or good husband? You decide.

For all the complaints about the pedestrians on the MUP, the worst I see is the shower tote roadies double-pacelining and expecting everyone else to move over for them.

Windy here too, but not that bad. I should go race in Belgium for all the practice I'm getting shaking people out of my draft.

Didn't DARPA just show that the air is refreshed so fast because of the compression that it's not much of a risk?

wasn’t referring to the air circulation, more of the fact I am in constantly populated areas, surrounded by new people.

wut. Roadies (double!) paceline on the MUPs in your neck of the woods? That's obnoxiously entitled. My group rarely rides on paths, but when we do it's as a necessary evil and we ride very conservatively.
