I found some “lightly used” conte gator skins 25 mm tires on craigslist for 50 bucks. Any thoughts about this? My tires current tires have many more miles to go I think, so these would just be spares til one of mine goes out. My came with 23mm but I don’t see an issue putting 25mm unless I am missing something.
They're probably going to sit there forever.

I have a set of lightly used Continental GP 4-Seasons in 25mm, which are also virtually indestructible, but quite a bit nicer than the Gatorskins. They are yours for nothing if you're ever up in the DC area again.

Speaking of which, I have a medical mystery. Maybe you've seen this?
If you draw a dot an inch or two above the outside corner of my kneecap, that would be about the center of an orange-sized bald patch I have on both legs. I speculate that hair loss may be caused by ever present inflammation (I can't think of an alternative explanation). But why only on the outside half above the knee, I still have hair on the inside half?
Any theory on what's going on?

Just got a set of 5000s, but I need to wear out the Grandsport Race tires that came on the R3 first. Can't wait.

I am sure they are good, but I wonder if they are much different from the 4000s. I suspect any difference is modest.

Hair loss on the legs is common in men of a certain age and our skins (and other organs) are a patchwork of areas expressing various genes to different degrees. You just have a patch of go-bald cells there through some accident of genetics and fetal development.

Now, I have lost hair on my lower legs, and that may be more of the normal loss that you're talking about.

Way premature. Shoulders are very delicate and often need months of rest and careful, cautious, rehab. Even the weight of the limb can prevent healing, which is why slings are so often used. As brother @datlas implies, they also frequently require surgical repair.

Lol. on the list of things in my life that have to be tolerated, Addiction is not one of them. I find y'all very entertaining quite a lot of the time. It makes a nice break from the damn paper I have been trying to write.

That would be pretty sweet. We might be going to DC again soon, I’ll let you know if I’m in your area.
