Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

well, i upped my meds, made sure to take them exactly regularly the last few days, and went for 33 mi / 1,150ft in zone 2, if not zone 1. average HR 91 BPM, 150w. felt fine, other than a pretty decent level of anxiety and the frustration of sticking to such a leisurely pace. i guess it’s just not how i’m wired, but maybe i can learn.

15.4mph. averaged 18.9 the last time i did this exact route.

There's probably hardly any on this forum, but to the extent there are, they obviously don't like discussing cars and bike parts day after day.

Cold front blew thru keeping temps in the mid-90s today. It started raining, and the dog went nuts barking at the water falling in the pool. Lol.

All the way to the top. The one in front is almost unloaded.

BTW, the liquid refuse from the pumpkins is pumped a few miles NE of town and aerated over cover crop fields. The smell is not very nice.

Do I get a covid Handicap? This wouldn’t have even been up for debate otherwise.

women talking about bikes? I know lots of female riders of course but few of them seem to enjoy talking about it online as much as men, or as much as they enjoy riding!
