Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Indoor training at the bike shop starts in a little over a week. Sad.

What is the meaning of this term "ghosting"? I'm seeing it everywhere all of a sudden.

This is what I'm hoping for, too. And I keep telling myself that I'm *actually* going to get studded tires for the Haanjo this year. I've told my self that one the last couple years, though.

At least they would not cook him. We have been there before. I think it's good but you should decide for yourself.

I think you asked me about him before. If it's the guy I think it is, he's just another grifter with a good CV whose spiel has a kernel of truth husk of hype. Maybe I should cash in too. I'm getting pretty sick of putting up with the crap around here.

I don't know why our friends at Penn are so reticent. I'll badmouth anyone!

Me too.

When mrs datlas and I were at the bookstore yesterday, I picked up a few cycling-oriented magazines and saw several advertisements for EPO-Boost. I have seen this crap before and it's clear that the "science" behind it is weak.

A fairly recent randomized study actually showed the stuff does not work at all. Can I sue them for false advertising??

The supplement industry is specifically protected against regulators and wiseguys who might get such ideas.
