Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You mean the loss due to evaporation or the waste of water going to L.A.?

I got 4 different email blasts, all saying the same thing, within the space of an hour last night from school.
But this came up in my email at work today, and I found it a good read:

Stay calm everyone... Mass media are making this look like a huge thing by using and maintaining fear among the population. I know it's scary, but a healthy human being should be able to fight the virus. Tens of thousands of people have contracted the virus & recovered so far.

STATS : https://www.worldometers.info/corona...-demographics/

I found one (media) yesterday that actually wrote something intelligent: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffmcm.../#186bcd275764

I got ones from Delta, which I have a June reservation with, and from Avis, who I have rented from several times.

You've linked one website with information from 2 weeks ago about statistics in China from case information collected a month prior to publication, and another website talking about how this might actually be a net positive effect for global climate change. That's even less on topic than what I posted. And for the record this is a big thing, for a lot of reasons.

On top of the email blasts from every retail outlet I've ever shopped at, or plan to shop at, I get them on a pretty darn regular basis from my employer.... Yeah, the Colorado Department of Health and Environment is right on top of it. As is the governor, and every fool that thinks "send to all" is a good thing to do. No, you can't get it from hard boiled eggs that aren't boiled long enough. (soft boiled?)

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can't believe the ignorance out there.

Holy cow!

https://6abc.com/health/state-orders...ry-co/6006509/

The state has ordered the closure of all schools, gyms community centers and entertainment centers in Montgomery County, which borders Philly and is the wealthiest county in the state. Non-critical retail is urged to close. My friend who works at the Ikea headquarters in the county said the retail store next door and the one in Philly are closing.

I read that American citizens were paying up to $20,000 for emergency return flights from Europe.
Then they'll go to Costco and find the tp is all gone
