Oh, I never put the final, as-delivered glamour shots here. My son is smitten with it.

Well, I guess I collect green Raleighs with 170 cranks. Was driving by a church parking lot sale when I spotted this leaning against a shrub. Not as cool a find as my garage sale 71 International, but really, really cool.
Funny assortment of downgrades! Comfy, though. Made it to Portland from Los Angeles.
Didn’t find a serial number yet, just TT stamped on the bottom bracket.
71?

Oh, and scratch my “downgrade” comment; it had a silky-smooth UN-72 bottom bracket in it.

My understanding is that the 1971 came with Huret derailleurs and the 1972 came with Simplex and that that is the only difference.

Yeah, I looked through some threads and thought ‘72 was the best match. Seems like the serial numbers are an inexact science for these. Still has simplex rd and dt shifters. Front der is a cyclone, which seems nice. My International has a bunch of worn out campy stuff, and this one has all that stuff replaced, so they compliment each other in that respect. This one might fit me better, so I’ll probably build it and see. Bummer about the 26.2 seatpost!

I measured the four Super Courses in the garage before posting that. I don't think it will vary by year - it is determined by the 531 straight gauge tubing used. But the difference between 26.2 and 26.4 is only eight thousandths of an inch, so probably no big deal.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I went back and looked and it was the mkII that was 26.2. Well good, I have a spare 26.4. I’ll have to un-scrunch my collar, because the 26.2 is all gouged up. Thanks for setting me straight!

Very nice! Were those owned and ridden by the same person, or did someone just have a small collection of Super Courses?

I was waiting for this one to come back in a finished state. That looks great Cycle Tourist, the white headtube turned out even nicer than I thought! Quite a contrast.

Wow that red one is great. It looked like a lost cause, and you sure proved that was wrong.

I bought a pair on CL from one person. I was unfamiliar with this bike. After I read this thread, I jumped on the deal immediately. Learning about new models is part of the fun. This one got all the original stuff. The other was badly repainted and is now bare metal. I wish it was a size larger though.

I just sold mine on Monday last week. It was a bit small for me. I have another one that I am working on now. Will post when finished.

I have no connection to this bike or seller, I'm just surprised that it would be languishing (at $190) for a couple months now.
True that it is a tall boy, only has the one pic and some wrong info (cantilevers?), but it is located in a well-regarded biking area, not far from Lambertville and Wheelfine Imports.

@BFisher, that's terrific. What size chainring and cog?
