Even more confusing to me was that restarting the gateway doesn't affect the router as I was watching tv the whole time, about 11 minutes, that the gateway was restarting and the router never went out. I'm an internetz idiot. Confirmed.

I just checked my forecast for the day - we're going to be flirting with 50°, but we're also going to have 15+ mph winds coming from the south. When it's this windy, I generally like to ride out in to the wind and back with the tail, but I don't really have any routes that head south and then back north.

Speaking of backs, once a week I go where there's a bar to hang from. The last two weeks I couldn't do it because of a mystery pain at the top of my arm/shoulder. It doesn't bother me for normal activities, but no pull up activities.

So if the in-laws want to get us a coffee grinder for my birthday/ Christmas present, does your face here mean I should go with the Ode instead of the Baratza Vario? The crummy blade grinder was making unhappy noises just now, so I'd rather go sooner than later. Would rather get something crazy durable and serviceable for long life if I'm not footing the bill.
Also for Trsnrtr or other coffee-heads I'm forgetting.

The buy-out wouldn't make me avoid Baratza at this point - just something interesting to keep an eye on, I guess. And at the kind of price point that we're talking about, repairable shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know that "crazy durable" is on the table.
I've read up on the Ode a little, and it seems that some people aren't thrilled with some of the aspects. By design, it'll only grind so fine, and some people feel that it's not fine enough for their brew methods (and we're not talking espresso); there's talk of a different burr set that'll grind finer, but that's something either down the line or bought separately at a not-insignificant cost. Here's a pretty thorough James Hoffman video review -
Frankly, out of the box and at $300, it sounds a little... compromised. Adding $150 burrs might make it stellar, but then you're in the $500 price bracket. At that point, the Eureka Brew Pro starts looking attractive - https://www.wholelattelove.com/colle...rinder-in-blue

Not yet. Resting and stretching. I might even try a ride later. But dont want to push it and hurt more, especially with weekend riding opportunities upcoming.

This assumes there's traffic on said road in the middle of the boonies.
