When we were juniors, Fred Rodriquez used to show off and ride the rollers with no hands and only one foot clipped in.

Like UMD's teammate?
My mentor back in the day would ride rollers outside in the Colorado winter, and he'd go out with a couple jerseys on. As he warmed up, he would go no-handed and pull jerseys off over his head.
Yeah, so I didn't mess with that trick. I'd be on the floor with a broken spoke and my nose bleeding with a jersey covering my face and my arms stuck over my head.

That crit was a blast though. Great bike handling, no crashes, and stupidly fast from the gun. I watched Z's race before us and guys were chewing tar going solo OTF, not surprised he got taken out, same thing happened to my carpool on Saturday in the 1/2.
There's more than a few 2's with cat5 bike handling skills floating around; it's why I don't do many 1/2 crits and just look for P/1 stuff.

Yeah, Mark is pretty studly. You should see him climb up hills. He used to post on here. A couple of years ago there was a youtube very similar to that. It reminded me that Fred used to do that back when we were juniors. He broke his collarbone about six weeks before junior worlds in 1991. He was spending hours on the trainer and then the rollers once it had healed some. He finished 6th and helped Evanshine win.

Off day. I did shovel heavy snow for nearly an hour however, which was a bit of a workout. Now it's pouring rain on top of all that wet snow.

Me or Pcad?
If me: I've put in over 500 hours in my training log.
(speaking of log ...)

January 1st. Does this seem odd or something? I figure most of you monsters are getting more than that with all the training, racing, and base mileage at the end of the season.

Seems like all of the 3s and 2s I have known are good bike handlers. Sometimes an ex-runner of some other highly trained dufus will come along and be able to climb well and stay around the faster guys but crash on descents and put everyone in danger in groups. Some of the kids are like this, too.
