cyclo computer problem

hi Everyone

My wife had a 20mph get off this last sunday when someone grabbed a big handfull of brake.Luckily she landed in the grass. My question is about the magnet for the computer .It now makes a slight sqeak when it passes the sensor. If any body has any ideas how to get it to stop i would appreciate it.This isn't a loud noise just enough to drive you batty.

Thanks To All
Jeff

Is it hitting the sensor? if so move it. It might be another part of the wheel is hitting a fender or part of the fork.

I'm aware of a tick when the sensor is passed but as it's a solid state thing can't see why it would squeek.

Hi Chewa

Unfortunately it none of the above .Maybe the sensor got banged up .Some kind of internal damage??I've already had the front of her bike apart. So far we only have to replace her bars and one helmet.Maybe it will go away in time or she just didn't notice it until after the crash when she was paying really good attention.

Thanks
Jeff

Try taking the magnet off and see if it still does it. It may be something unrelated to the sensor and is just a coincidence that it happens when the magnet passes the sensor.
