Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What do you think about Raleigh Road Bikes?

I'm hoping to buy a new bike this summer and i wanted to ask if any of you have had any experience with these bikes. I currently do have a Raleigh but it's a comfort bike. So what do you think about the value and the quality of their Road Bikes?

I ride on the 2004 Raleigh Prestige frame with 105 components and I love it, solid bike nice and light frame I couldn't be happier with my purchase, though I am yet to see another Raleigh on the road.

I still love my 1990 Raleigh Technium even though it's too small now. A friend of mine is putting it to good use though.

Location: Might as well be underwater because I make less drag than a torpedoE (no aero bars here though)

I think they are probably equal in quality to a lot of other bikes (especially their aluminum frames), but since they don't sponsor any racing teams they generate no buzz. That's my opinion.
