moozh and BRMC; there is a public toilet at the central park boathouse on east drive, just above the 72nd street transverse; don't go pissing on trees and making bikers look bad. there is also a public bathroom which has funky hours right near columbus circle, basically right at the corner of the park, you can tell from the road whether the gates are open or not.
and like Withoutfixie, there are two transverses; 72nd street and 101st street.

I ride the park nearly every workday. If you see a guy on a gold Mericer Kilo stripper say hi.
I also live right off the park so it's a quick fun way to get a workout.

Anyone still doing fixed loops in the park? I have ridden a 17:53 1 lap, 37:13 2 laps, and 57:26 3 laps as my PRs so far. They are from several months ago. This summer is probably one of the last opportunities I have to get some good biking in. I would like to do a 1 lap PR in the 16's and drop to 36 for 2 laps, and possible 55 or 56 for 3 laps. Is anyone down to train?
Early morning seems like a great time to go out. I have motivated myself a few times to be in the park around 5:45am and there are tons of people to ride with (except that most of them are roadies). Then, I inevitably get dropped on the downhills because I'm maxed-out, gearing wise. I'm also amenable to going out around 7pm, except that it's much more crowded and the crowd is not nearly as aware or exercise-savvy as the early AM crowd. Sometimes it has to be done in the evening though...

SriBiker -- I'd be up for some laps. I'm not sure if I can keep up with those paces, but I could try. I really don't have any idea what my times would be like. I do loops, but don't use a stopwatch. I've definitely done 3 in around an hour, but whether that was 58 minutes or 65 minutes, I have no idea.
I'm not a morning person in general so 5:45 sounds hellish, but I could give it a go I suppose.

Anyone ready for this season? I'll be on a custom matte black fixie with a red fork and mustache handlebars. Or you might see my partner in crime on a matte white bike with a black fork and bare mustache handlebars. Don't be afraid to say hi were always down for more riders/ training partners....

I'm ready to ride bigboi146...can't seem to PM you since I only have 20 something posts. It requires 50? Weird...anyways, let me know when you go. I try and go about twice a week, 1-2 laps, usually at night around 7pm. Anyone else down? We should set something up.

Awesome, I'm down for a ride tomorrow (Tuesday). I'll be near the fountains/statue on the 59th Columbus circle entrance @ 7pm. Look for the guy with the black Moth bike with bullhorns. Try to bring other people if you can.
If you don't get this in time, we could always set up a ride another time. I'll wait around for about 10 minutes. See ya there?

confounded - i think i've seen you there - do you have white bar tape on your gold mercier?
Anywho, anyone else ride CP fixed? I'd like to train with some people.
I usually ride ~3x a week (usually after 8pm) with 48/16. I usually average ~20-22 minutes lap for 3 laps (with the first lap being ~19 minutes).
