Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I love mixtes but those bullhorns have got to go. I know bullhorns are wonderful for climbs and general riding, heck I have like 3 but mixte should be a classic townie build..

I think I'm going to have to agree with this, or if you really love the bullhorns get some full size ones like the ones nitto makes. Are those chop n' flops?

SPD SL pedals and shimano shoes from my bike back in america, my specialized seat that fits oh so snug

tomorrow a machinist friend is going to put the front brake on the fork since he has all the fancy tools to do so, and ill figure out where iw ant the stem on the fork, and then trim. seatpost is trimmed already, so its good to go now.

yup...they were an old pair of drops. the bullhorns were just irresistable because it gave me a much better ride compared to the drops. but im reluctant to shove over 30-40 for a nice pair of nitto bullhorns.

I got mine on craigslist for $25 and it was WELL worth it. Three cheers for bullhorns!

Nevermind, I just checked the specs of the fork, it has aluminium crown and carbon blades...I thought it was full carbon.

I like this bike, but I'm having a hard time looking at that brake set up and not commenting on it. That lever is intended for use on a flat section of bar, and I'm worried that it might be more or less functionally useless right there. I'd either move it to the inside of the bars or replace it with a regular drop lever in the same place.

nothing new here, but tires and levers
took some better pictures today, and cleaned it up a bit. also wanted to show off the bar/lever setup.
