Which tires do you use?
I'm looking to change my tires.I currently use Rubinos but find them very dangerous if the ground is even slightly damp let alone wet,and don't fancy crashing again this winter
Can you recommend something that are fast(priority number one) with good grip and durability.I'm thinking of the Pro race 3 or the one up from the Rubinos,what do you think.
I've just bought some cheapo wire bead schwalbe luganos,but find them slow even over inflated to 120psi(110 on tire)

Why not get the Scwalbe ultremo R. The problem one is off the market. Also, Vitt evo are highly praised for racing.

And to answer your question, I use Bontrager Hard Case because they last forever.

Serfas Seca RS. I've got almost 2500 miles on mine with zero flats. Many of those miles are on poorly maintained roads. They are fairly light, cheap, and work.

Ultremo R.1, i like them better than the 4000s, they seem to be a little less puncture resistant. I think flats are just the luck of the draw...

although some people have different experiences with them, I'm a huge fan of Krylions. I got them after cutting/flatting 4 ProRace 2s in a row, while my friend, riding to my right on the Krylions and therefore in more of the glass etc (he also weighed 20-30 lbs more than me at the time) didn't flat.
I don't remember any flats with the Krylions in 2+ years. I use them on the trainer all winter too. They're grippy as heck. Same base casing as the PR2/PR3. I rode on them in the rain in training. Raced them once in the rain (Tue training race, USAC sanctioned) and led out and won the shortened A race, with some good riders behind me.
I'm also using the Bontrager All Conditions. I had one flat (glass worked its way into the tire) in a year and found that I couldn't turn to save my life in the rain. Maybe that's the case in general but I wouldn't recommend them for the rain.

My bike came with Zaffiros that were replaced with Rubino Techs. I then went with Serfas Seca 23s and on to the RS folding version. I'm now running Zaffiro 25s for a rolling resistance experiment and looking to get Serfas Seca RS 25s.
rubino pro's. 25s typically. i've raced them in the rain and couldn't complain. they make a tech version with a compound aimed at wet riding as well. the diamante's seem to cut easier and don't last like the rubino, nor roll like open corsas. try the black chili gp4000s maybe. pro3 races cut easy.
Any particular reason you use 25s?

there is some nerdy article floating out there purporting that a 25c tire at correct pressure has lower rolling resistance then a 23c tire at correct pressure. or something of that sort. rides nicer too.

My bike came with some Maxxis tires (Xeniths?) which surprised me with their durability and decent ride. I got almost 3000 km out of them before the tread wore out. I did rotate them front to back, and had only 2 flats with them.
I then switched to some expensive Vittoria Diamantes. I rode them for about 2000 km, during which tme I had a TON of flats and finally retired them with sidewall cuts and one blow-out. I should have given up on them much sooner, but the price and amount of tread left convinced me to keep them on.
I switched to Conti GPs about 2000 km ago. My LBS gave me a deal on 22 mm ...as nobody was buying them with all the chipseal around here I'm quite happy with these. No flats yet, and I can get away with 95 psi at 160 pounds without pinch flats.

If you ask "over there" I think the answer will be GP4000s. They will add 5km/h to your speed, stick to vertical walls and allow you to levitate at will.
I use rubinos in all weather for racing, commuting and training - they work OK for me (no crashes touch wood).

This. In the winter I move to their wire beaded iron-plated model. It's called Seca Survivor. They're heavy and roll like crap, but they don't flat.
