Seriously, though the prices/market for collectible bikes seems to be growing. As in any other collectible, be it muscle car or rare art, scarcity and attractive provenance mean higher prices.
What was left of all the steel frames in the EM Factory have been sold except for a few which, for me, are/were too expensive and which are in the possession of the actual past factory workers. Oddly enough, it looks like a good time for me to try to sell a few of my EMs.

That frame is ugly. The paint scheme is awful.

Not the best color scheme but I wouldn't call it ugly. It's not colnago ugly.

I'm with Nikkorod...it's ugly. I know Merckx bikes have a mythos, but so does Bianchi Celeste...and that's ugly too. Merckx makes a disproportionate amount of ugly bikes. That's one of them.

Colnagos are a lot of things...but ugly isn't one of them. Over the top? Sure. Overrated? Many would say yes. I haven't seen many ugly ones.

I'm with Liquefied. The 80s Colnagos had some of the ugliest paint schemes ever imagined. Of the many Colnagos and EMs bikes I've had and have, I had more ugly Colnagos than EM. But that is just my take.

While I know you meant it sarcastically,

+1.

After reading my post again, it didn't come across as kidding. Of course that bike is beautiful, and Celestes have a charm, like that Merckx does, but it's an odd charm.

Of course this is all aesthetics...some think I drive around a french fry carton
