I just wanted to ask because they also came stock on my giant and while I do like them for hardpack, I realized this past weekend that I really don't like them on anything loose or remotely slick. I didn't know if that was your experience as well?

dry grass and hardpack is where they shine. In moist races I run an sb8 rear with a grippier front because I like to break the rear loose.

Yeah, the SB8 are great in grass and hard pack. Lots of loose pepples or silt around here though so I usually stick to the bontragers

First cross race on Sat night... hence the vans and platforms. Got 3rd / 45 or so. SUPER fun.
Credit to Dennis Fickinger at www.ficksphotos.com for the snapshot. I think this is the same photog that aggro_jo was giving credit to for the great pan shot. Regardless, Dennis is great.

after falling on my face twice after my sb8s packed out in moist clay like conditions, i mounted something more aggressive on the front (clement crusade pdx) on my pit wheel for those kind of conditions.

My TNW photo was shot by Brigham who works for a design firm in STL. See you at the next Bubba!

I was suffering all right. Hardest effort I ever recorded on my Power Tap. Storm King Cannibal (hilly) TT a couple of
weeks back. 260+ watts for nearly 24 minutes. Still waiting for the better version of this badly photoshopped thumbnail.

My photo from the same hill climb that Ygduf and Bam posts photos from.
If that's not suffering, I don't know what is.
And also did a cross race last week.
Looking down at my pedals like a total noob.

Making a kilometer blurry
Suffering for sure there. Nice.
The post processing on the image is painful though. Looks like a Polaroid that was over-sharpened, then left on a dashboard in the sun for a week. Maybe that's a button in Lightroom or something.
Just sayin'

It was about 38º when I left home, had to be no more than 45º or so at race time
Didn't feel overdressed during the TT, didn't overheat, etc.
You're only overdressed if you overheat during the race, not if you fail the silly 33 Road Nazi Fashion Police Photo Flame Session.
