Please Help me choose a bike :)

Hi, so it has been a long time since I have owned a bicycle but have recently decided to look into purchasing one mainly for fitness and commuting. In my searches on the internet as well as looking in a few bike stores a few models have jumped out at me. Kona PHD, Specialized Sirrus, Cannondale Bad Boy and Rocky Mountain RC line. I will be commuting maximum 20km a day. Does anyone have any experience with any of these bikes good or bad?? Thanks

Hmmm, the Kona PHD is of similar componentry spec to my 2010 Jake the Snake, which is a fine ride imo

All good rides, take them all for a test ride. Buy the one you like the best. That way you'll actually ride it.

Hey ya I started looking into Cyclocross bikes aswell. Do you find it is a good fit as a commuter??

My only comment is that the Bad Boy is the odd one out in that group you mentioned. It has a heavier duty frame + disc brakes and is more of a mountain bike meets commuter hybrid, whereas the other 3 are more of a flat bar road bike.

Some CX bikes make better commuters than others generally, but yeah, if you are looking for an all-rounder, then a CX isn't a bad way to go.
