Singlespeed & Fixed Gear"I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five.
Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)
It's like an over styled car, someone tried to get all creative and missed the mark entirely. In general that's my hangup with the Leaders, they just look like form over function and the form isn't particularly original or attractive.
What else can I say? Haters are gonna hate. I don't care LOLOLOLHAHAHAHA. FYI all exotic cars let alone bicycles that cost $$$$$ are ALL over styled from a designers stand point. Plus you don't know how many compliments I got for it the other day just riding around. You won't know until you take the dive and get one for yourself.

Today was not a good day for me. My dogs birthday, fiancee's annual "exam", dinner with grandma... I did get the opportunity to walk up to the bike shop to buy some spacers but they were all out of the ones I wanted! So another day without photos of the build, but I did get the brake lever and grips in, I have to say I LOVE the PDW grips, they feel soo nice!
Happy, my Summer Fork cant take a 32c Tire.
Xavier, Thats a Aero brake usually found in TT bikes, theyre meant to be rearfork mounted.
OMG I have been trying to find out what those brakes were for so long! I saw one on a bike over the summer and wanted it so bad! Can you use any fork? Can you mount them on the front of the fork, the one I saw was like that?

They do have some sexy grips... I cant wait to see your pics, you keep teasing us! I actually went out on my Leader today, I couldnt stand it anymore so I put the "other" parts back on. God I missed riding that bike... I also learned that I can fit a 38c schawlbe marathon in the rear!!! Makes me think about racing cross this year on it! a light bike would be so nice.
I'm not really a fan of the Leader bikes, but honestly, they are still prettier than 99% of the bikes I see on the street everyday, so hating on them is kind of stupid imo.
