Tried to donate platelets this morning, but BloodSource turned me down. Turns out that Erbil, Iraq is in a malaria zone and I am deferred from donating for a year. They still let me take all the cookies I wanted. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.

+1

My wife is the same way and so am I so we only have mortgage debt as well. I use credit cards but rarely buy anything I don't pay off at the end of the month.

Good to hear you and your family are ok, all the best for the missing people being found alive and Christchurch being rebuilt quickly.

Tomorrow morning my dad and I are going to go visit her. I might just stay there with my books and study in her room so she has some company. It's weird being on the otherside and seeing her heal. I was in that bed just a few years ago. Strange...
Good news! Hope your mom's recovery is a quick one.

That's what the big book of nasty diseases said.

you want a good kick in the nuts, figuratively speaking that is, then call your local realtor to discuss the value of your home as you consider making a move due to the fact that you received a work promotion, not because you cannot afford your home or lifestyle.

i knew it was real bad, but why does the county i live in have to be number one on the bad list? my nuts hurt. later.

There is a big, black cloud on the horizon and it's supposed to be record cold and even some snow on the way. If I'm going to ride today, I'd better get moving.
Legs are sore in a weird way after yesterday. That's what I get for taking time off to make snot.

I'm due to donate blood again. I tried a few times recently, but the line was too long and I just don't have a spare hour (on top of the alloted hour)

I am afraid to talk to one. Keep something in mind - land...everyone wants some and there isn't any more being made. Value will return in time.

Guess this means you have to stay on PSIMET for a few more years??

Man, wall sits are hard. It's part of my training for Laser sailing, but 2 minutes is about all I can manage so far.

The top Laser sailors can do it 40 minutes. Ridiculous.

+1 on reducing/eliminating debt. I like my discover card. Pay off in full each month, and get cash back ... so they pay me. As for land, our house is on a double lot, which is like buying at a discount because I'm sure the purchase price would have been higher if bought separately.... if things get bad, I could split it up & sell the other lot.

I'm feeling like a fred the last few days... wanting new wheels.

geesh - you'd think that I'd know by now.
Maybe in a year or two.

I haven't been using my PT very well - not being serious with the data and such.
If this keeps up, and I really can't get myself to buckle down I'll just sell it and spend the proceeds on a pair of tubular wheels.

Laser Sailing, because I had to look it up. Looks like it would be good for your abs as well.
