Iphone ?
Started by riding but now I carry an Iphone. Was just wondering how are you carrying your iphone on rides? I keep mine in an otterbox but worry about humidity and moisture.
Thanks

i usually carry mine in a jersey pocket. if the forecast calls for rain/crummy weather, I'll stick it in a plastic baggie.
unless you get REALLY sweaty, the phone won't be damaged at all by sweat. Worst thing that can happen, is that even if the phone is in perfect working order, sweat and humidity have been known to trip the water sensors on the phone. (one in bottom of headphone jack, one under the connector at the bottom of the phone, and 2 inside the case - all are pretty much equally susceptible to humidity, but it seems that it's usually it's the one under the connector that is most easily tripped by a rouge droplet of sweat). If this happens, there are certain methods of masking the tripped sensors. A 20g needle, syringe, white out, and a steady hand have worked flawlessly for me...

Jersey pocket. If the weather looks like rain, I don't ride. Just place it in your jersey so that the glass is facing out.

otterbox, and either a baggie or wrapped in a washcloth depending upon distance, humidity outside and temp. I sweat like a mf. My first iphone I waterogged by sweating, it seized the camera first and then the ipod would no longer play.

That's what I'm doing from now on. (Although I just bought a Lezyne Elite Smart Wallet, thinking that would work well for the iPhone. Yeah, it fits, but the wallet is rather monstrous. Takes up an entire jersey pocket and is hard to remove from the pocket. Shoulda known to stick with a baggie.)

Throw the stick!!!!
You could always buy a ziploc baggie, this would allow you to get a lot more rides in. Some of my most memorable / enjoyable rides have finished up in the rain.

Definitely a baggie. On hot days, I've definitely pulled the baggie out of my jersey pocket and it's definitely covered in sweat. I wouldn't want that on my phone, which I hold up to my face.

+1.
Often after a long ride the baggie is pretty wet on the outside. You can use it through the baggie too.

i keep mine in my saddle bag. i figure if anything (crash) ever happens, it's safer in there. and if there's a chance of rain, plastic bag like everyone else.

I just place mine (Droid) in my back pocket. Never had enough moisture to kill the phone (yet) but I wouldn't mind an upgrade either.

I keep my iPhone 3GS in my backpack, with my Apple In-Ear headphones with remote and mic running through the hole where the camelbak tube is supposed to go. I use the remote and mic to control it. I use voice control to tell it to call so-and-so or to play songs by so-and-so.

I use the Tuneband -- usually on my left bicep, over my "under" shirt (usually a Nike Dryfit long- or short-sleeve) and under my "over" shirt's sleeve. I turn it in toward my side for protection. I don't ride in the rain much but in the rare times I've been caught in rain, it stays dry under my rain jacket. I keep an Apple earphone w/mic in my left ear -- not for calls but for my riding app's updates -- feeding the cable under my shirt and out the neck opening. If I need to, I can use the voice-activated features with no problems. I love this product -- it's very well made and stays secure and in place, even on really hot days when I'm sweating a lot.

Handing them out free at the west palm beach marathon, glorifed ziploc baggy, but better quality than the standard sandwich baggie from grocery stores.
