Hayes Carll with Ponderosa on the river tonight. This was the first time I'd seen Ponderosa. They sounded great. Great guitar and organ tones.
Hayes Carll was good, but obviously road worn. Didn't matter, though. His songs are great and his band was killer.
My LBS owner rode along with me.

This is my real C&V project as it sits today... Needs time and lots of money, neither of which I have currently. Maybe when I'm done grad school I can dive into this, for now bikes are cheaper and require much less space to work on.

I couldn't see past that other case on the right between the bookshelves. What is that?

took this right after my basic try to get used to the heat ride today.
here are some pics from the route I do a lot. A thirty mile loop with as much elevation drop and gain as I can find. rode the three speed today cause "training" for a century in a couple weeks.

I might be losing points:
--Not a rain barrel but a composter
--Not dandelions but marigolds (natural pest protection for my organic garden)
But I'm mostly psyched because the left-side crank arm didn't come lose on this ride as it has in the past. I was worried it was toast.

I love these photo threads. Keep them coming. This is what feeds C&V. And, it means I have something interesting to review, and don't have to read drew threads.

I vote that the tablet is a lost portion of the Epic of Gilgamesh. In which case, I'm tremendously excited. But, having read a lot about the Babylonians, I suspect it's a shopping list or an inventory.
Didn't take this one today, but uploaded it from the camera today. Does that count? Raleigh Sports.

And one more from the same ride: the wee Boy with a bat-house and some daisies at Soos Creek.

I'm getting cold feet on this, though. I'd better the photo before it attracts more attention!

Been absolutely slammed at work the past week or so and getting an occasional ride in. Early in the morning here's the Gitane's waiting patiently for a ride:
And some of the other bikes patiently waiting their turn - either for a ride or minor maintenance:
