Cookies, along with whip cream, check. But this has gotten out of control fast. 2 of them drug sleeping bags into the kitchen and declared they were sleeping there. I started to protest but I was silenced with a kick to the shins. The 3rd, whom I can only assume is the ring leader, has forced me to purchase, and download Taylor Swift albums to her Ipod, while she plays games on the wife's laptop. I've totally lost control of the situation.

youre clearly in over your head, as I would be. Im no help to you now. I pray for you...
*edit- I cant believe they've gone Taylor Swift on you. I got the "Bieber treatment"...this is bad. Very bad.
My youngest niece walks around mumbling Bieber lyrics all day. Each syllable like a knife in my ear.

I know. It's funny because that's my brother's name. My wife joked that maybe now he'll start getting all of the inquiries.
Full article should be out later. Noticed there was no mention of "PSIMET" anywhere in there, just me.

Eschewed the club ride today to join 3 old friends on an 80 mile ride. They don't do club rides because they don't know how to ride with other riders. Plus, I think they would be confused if they saw a straight line, I had to be on my toes at all times when near these guys.

I had a girl sit on my wheel for 20 minutes up Baldy today.
I would have felt bad except I was sitting on 300w at the time.
Impressive to say the least.

She came unbuckled after the 2nd tunnel. I was riding a'Cadel, not attacking or anything, but it was a strong pace for me, ended up knocking a minute off my PB from my house to the village.
I've ridden with numerous P1/2 women's fields when they've been thrown in with the masters, and she could easily jump in to any of them and be one of the strongest riders. We swapped numbers to get together for some future rides, her and her male companion just moved here so they are out of the club loop as am I.

I am getting ready to head to the beach, but wanted to tell you all a couple things before I go:
I got two phone calls last night to be in a movie. They wanted me to come out for a fitting yesterday but I wasn't home. Then they wanted me to be available for filming this week. I had to decline because of my beach trip. The wife wanted me to ask about pay but I didn't want to be swayed. Oh well.
Finished a full threshold week. Tired as he'll. Yesterday a friend and I did 16 repeats up this climb and by the time I got home I could barely stand. It feels like my fitness is even better than last week when I top 10'd the stage race. There's not much racing left but I am hoping to get in at least a couple more before it's all over.
Talk to you all next week some time.

Maine. Sun's up, looks ok. It seems my season will drag on until the end of September as I'm getting some new clothes and need to break them in.
My wife, cute as can be, is frantically searching for appropriately colored tee shirts.

Picked up the new car. No more Z. I saw a LOT of Zs on the drive down to my dad's. Black (intercooler in grille), copper, silver, a black 370. My sis-in-law said that it's the Z world saying good bye to me. Oh and saw my first and only blue Sentra SE-R V Spec or whatever the 6s manual from 2003 was called. It was the other car I was contemplating when I got the blue Z but it was totally unavailable, wasn't even a choice.
The car's slightly different from the Jetta Sportswagen. Door layout a bit different. Gear indicator (tells you what gear you're in). Some other minor things. Feels like a Manx cat compared to the wagon. The wife has given a green light to some mods - looking at stiffening up suspension, doing cat back and intake, and some wheels next summer. Well, all that kind of depends on other stuff, but that's the tentative plan.
Oh and it has 33 mpg on the computer when we picked it up. 46? mpg when we got to my dad's, 90 minutes away.
The ('93) Civic is finding a new home too, a guy (LBS guy who is also a car nut) needs a winter car. The Miata with 10" wide wheels isn't going to cut it. He's going for the "slam that stem" look on the Miata as related to cars (something called "stance" which is beyond my comprehension).

Have dropped out for a while. G was right about going back to work. But its been rewarding and fun. Finished another nice project. Solar electric and solar thermal on 16 unit apartment complex with three commercial spaces. After installation the buildings entire energy cost (Gas Electric) is around $100. Side benefit is that the building owner is my new 6:00AM ride partner. It was great to work with someone who "gets" sustainable energy and cycling. Time to go bury my head in the next effort. Big install on Organic farm. Second one this year.

Also, I went over the 41 earlier this morning and now I just feel dirty and a hell of a lot stupider.

Just got done cleaning out the road rash. Owwwww.... Bike is fine, just need new bar tape. Bibs and jersey are trashed. It hadn't rained in 2 months, but decided to start during a 30 min SST interval. Went around a corner and the bike just disappeared from under me. I was only doing 14 mph, but the roads were like ice from that build up of oil. According to my power file I was back on and riding again in 20 seconds, and finished my interval at a perfect SST average.
BTW -- I broke out the white chronosuit for it's maiden voyage today. I figured that 3PM in the Duh's heat and sun should be a good way to determine if it's any cooler than my $30 blue voler. The answer is "oh god yeah", so tell your wife that white skinsuits are faster.
