Looking for Chainguard
I would like to put a chaiguard on my Shimano Tourney (FC-TY30) MTB cranks to protect my pant leg from the chain. I tried a generic plastic model but it didn't fit, and I didn't really care for the look of it anyway. Ideally I would like one that bolts right up to the five holes on the big ring. I can't use a bashguard since the rings are riveted together, and in any case I want to keep the big ring.

I don't know if it's worth it, but you can google the part number in the diagram there and use google translator to translate the url if it's a Dutch website etc.

It took me a few minutes with WD-40 and a fingernail to get rid of the dopey logo, it looks OK now. It comes in different sizes to fit the chainwheel size so make sure you get the right one. Since there is still the distant possiblilty of catching your pants leg with any guard of this type I still use an ankle strap. I'm a belt-and-suspenders kind of guy.

I would be tempted to try the SKS or Hebie offerings, but the simplicity of that Kool-Stop product appeals to me. I just hope that the molded channel for the crank arm gives me enough clearance. I'll see if my LBS can order one for me, and if not I've ordered stuff from these guys before.
