The cool thing is, when you skid, it sounds dead quiet.

Probably right. Don't ever judge someone's wealth by the car they drive. I live in a crappy area where people drive all sorts of luxury cars. Believe me, their cars are better than their homes, and that should never be the case in my opinion.

If I recall correctly I think I still have mine in my basement from a trade awhile back.

They're triathlon bikes; still race legal too! That includes softrides and trek y foils. (that's your guys cues to search up more jacka$$ variants of these)

If you're gonna go deep, put it in front. Dude kinda underestimated on the valve stem needed for his CXP30

Mebbe weightweenism to offset the chain weight.

I hear the Zipp 3001 and its variants are still sought after by triathletes since they're so damn fast. For street/strack definitely is jack though

I've read different about softrides legality for racing.

Off softride's website:
Question: I've heard that Softrides are illegal for racing?
Answer 1: Road Racing - For road racing, Softrides are illegal for racing in UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) sanctioned events. There are under a dozen UCI sanctioned races in the US and the rule only affects pro/elite, category 1 and 2 racers. If you are not a category 1 or 2 racer, racing in a UCI event, you are totally unaffected by this rule. Softrides are 100% legal for all USCF (United States Cycling Federation) and USAC (USA Cycling) sanctioned events at all levels, including pro/elite.

Answer 2: Triathlon - For triathlon, Softrides are legal in all categories and distances with one exception. Softrides are not legal for elite and juniors only in "Standard Distance" (Olympic) races, unless prior approval is gained from the promoter. Softrides are legal for all age group athletes in all categories and all distances, including "Standard Distance" (Olympic distance).
But srsly, pics nao plz

soft rides have horrible resale value, that's how i got my last one, only a few people want them, they are a niche class. Granted they are a fast bike. I was sold one. Built it up, showed up to an event only to find out it was illegal and had to swap to my spare bike once. I am assuming that's what's happening to the guy who sold it to me.

Month before last a friend of mine found a soft ride frame in tree missing the cables and the handle bars. We threw some bullhorns on it, and a set of those fixed gear wheels from wal-mart. It is his bike now, I haven't seen him since. I hope he is still alive.

Come winter time and I'm back in the bay where it is. And for the record, I said I think. Not to mention there's probably a reason why it's there in the first place instead of being ridden.

*Waits for yummy to insert fighting sumo picture below.

I just included that so it would cover my back if I did indeed have flipped it although I'm pretty sure I didn't for reasons mentioned in my previous post.
I do a lot of flipping bike stuff.

You can believe whatever you want.
