Dang, that city grounds sale is pretty substantial. Luckily, my LBS had the same price on a MW Vandal ($167) on Black Friday, so I picked it up there.
I agree that it's super hard to avoid Asia with regards to components and pieces in stuff we buy.
Aside from the MW bags being assembled in in SF, they are just wickedly good all around. While they are super expensive, I feel like I'm getting an excellent product. It's the same reason I own a Bosun (and people think I'm crazy.)

They still make the Bosun - it's the Orion that's super hard to get a hold of. If they happen to have stock in the spring when I get my tax return, I'll earmark $400 for one.

Honestly, MW stuff is good enough that I'd pay close to MSRP anyhow. So, I wouldn't even feel that bad.

anyone catch any deals on saddles? gf has been using this cheap ass $20 origin8 pillow top feeling saddle and really starts feeling the pain after 10 miles. if anyone knows of a deal or knows of a good saddle to recommend her (on the cheap, she's very petite fwiw), would appreciate
