Dang, that city grounds sale is pretty substantial. Luckily, my LBS had the same price on a MW Vandal ($167) on Black Friday, so I picked it up there.

I agree that it's super hard to avoid Asia with regards to components and pieces in stuff we buy.

Aside from the MW bags being assembled in in SF, they are just wickedly good all around. While they are super expensive, I feel like I'm getting an excellent product. It's the same reason I own a Bosun (and people think I'm crazy.)

Nice to see your LBS had MW, and especially at that price!

PS: What's a Bosun?

^ A jacket they used to produce.

Man, damn that sale, I feel like I got jipped buying mine for $250+ a while back!
I guess the free MW 'Gobi' Hat I got makes up for it a little bit.

Their shipping is dirt cheap too. They charge a little over 17 bucks to ship a frame.

Honestly, MW stuff is good enough that I'd pay close to MSRP anyhow. So, I wouldn't even feel that bad.

They still make the Bosun - it's the Orion that's super hard to get a hold of. If they happen to have stock in the spring when I get my tax return, I'll earmark $400 for one.

That Orion is pretty sweet. I love my Rapha classic softshell.

I thought about buying it just for the fork, but then I realized I'd have another bare frame sitting around.
