I'll tell him.

He's kind of spoiled. The Technium is actually going to get traded for a Viscount Aerospace I just picked up and am going to restore for him. He's gone through about ten different road bikes over the last two years due to trading up and letting me sell his old bikes.

Your pedals are on the Vitus now, that's one reason I need new pics of it.

The pedals are great, I think we might switch the powerstraps for cages next year but we'll see.

he has good taste. a viscount is on my "someday list".

i always intended to put cages on those pedals. i just wanted to try powerstraps for commuting use. boots fit in them and they dont scuff dress shoes.

do your son a favor and dont let him sell the vitus. if he does he may regret it someday. i would love to have my old bianchi back (first road bike as a child)

^ Nice Brifter, Auchen. You should post that up in the "Old bikes with STI/Ergo" thread.

A serial check tells me that my '50 Raleigh is actually a '51.

That or it's an old Detroit accent... think I posted my '54 in one of those roadie threads which also has an early brifter.

Thank you... (shot with a vintage camera from 1971) Definitely not a Brooks tape, but you are pretty close tho'. It's a "bar" tape... It's just some tape I got about 2 years ago new. It changes color too. It used to be gum wall color and now it's kind of brownish..

Love the chrome Paramount. I don't know why, but a chrome bike just gets me, they look so right.

This might make some posters here scoff, this is an unknown frame, it originally had cottered cranks, it'll be a fun winter beater. I built it up with a bunch of salvaged and laying around parts. She has a mitchmatched compact double crankset, a rear centerpull from a 70's Schwinn Continental and a front caliper from a Schwinn Caliente, 700c wheels with cross tires, and of all things a Campy shfter cable guide.

1991 Lotus 2000R Pro Series

Here is my classic 1991 Lotus 2000R Pro Series that my dad gave me not too long ago so I could ride it at college. This is my favorite bike that I have. I matched the brake hoods and toe clips to the pink in the Lotus logo. I made a thread with more pictures over here.

Gorgeous Chrome Paramount! BTW, are those Weinmann 610 centerpulls? I have a '72 Chrome Paramount P-15 with Campy NR sidepulls. Are those rims 700C or original 27"?
