i have a feeling the seller doesn't really understand how eBay works. basically they want to sell it for a lot of money and don't trust the auction process to have the price raise naturally (or high enough).

I'm 5'8 and I've been watching it along with you tall riders strictly to see how high it goes. One of you is going to get a nice bike if the seller would let the process play itself out.

Damn, I just placed a bid and was instantly outbid although I did run it up to eleven cents.
Let's see if they let the auction run it's course this time.

Interesting to note the dimensions of the two bikes. Even through the Jackson is listed as 68cm(and the Seven 68.5) it appears to be a larger frame. One reason the Jackson looks larger is the shorter tt(although only 2cm) causing the ht to be closer to the st and therefore longer. That and the c-c measurement(I'm assuming its c-c, but not stated in the listing) show the Jackson is 2.5cm larger that the Seven, and even looks larger than that.
Jackson: 58cm toptube, 68cm seattube, and 28cm headtube
Seven: Top Tube: 60cm Seat Tube 68.5cm (C-T), 65.5cm (C-C) Head Tube: 24cmm
I see it didn't sell with the top bid at only $217(which is ridiculously low). He should just list it starting at his reserve price, might have better luck.

Wow, THAT was a crazy tall bike!
OK, This Austro Daimler Inter-10 squeaks in AT the bar at 64cm ST and 60 cm TT, Too tall for me but the TT length fits nice....it is just the starting and stopping that is a problem! :-)

thats a nicely proportional one. it sucks that tall bikes generally get short sheeted in the top tube length department. my 69cm fuji has a 59cm toptube!

You just need fatter tires, LOL. Here's my (1971 ?) Frejus Campimissimo, 62.865 cm seat tube, & 58.42 cm top tube. Those tires are 700x37, for if I want to go off-roading, LOL. I haven't had this very long at all, & got it as a bare frame with a BB, so it looks kinda nekkid right now. BTW, I'm around 6'2" or 6'3", & wear a 36" inseam in Levi's, and still need the seatpost down like that. Those guys who need the REAL tall bikes, must have stilts for legs.

> 66cm C'dale on cl in Santa Barbara CA, not mine, too small
I'm too small for that one too. Or did you mean the other way around??
That Cdale has a layback post and it's up more than a fistful, owner must be a very tall drink of water indeed.

Not vintage, but here is my 29" Gunnar Fastlane. I often get the "Those look like 20" wheels" comment.

Right here. NOS, seller's a bike shop. And they seem to be willing to ship. PM me if you need a translation.
