National Bike Challenge Update
The National Bike Challenge is underway and Vermont has pedaled it's way to the front of the pack...

So far there are over 20,000 riders from all 50 states + DC and around the world. It's pretty cool to watch the miles and points accumulate. YOU can join here:

Interesting that the states with the higher percentages of obese & overweight citizens are near the last on the list. I've already joined & logging miles for IL.

I'm in, but as luck would have it I could't commute the first week. I crashed on my second commute this week.....I sprained my wrist and destroyed my brake lever and shifter. I'll be out of commission for a few weeks. Glad it runs through August..... Hopefully I'lll catch up.

I'm in - my community Appleton, WI is currently ranked #5 out of more than 600. We are just shy of 600 riders (599) and looking for a few more. If you are in the area jump in and help us out! www.nationalbikechallenge.org

MVclyde - hope you heal up soon and get back in the saddle. I've been watching those Bike Arlington teams in your area. Good luck!

Thanks kccommuter!! I finally rode in today on Bike to Work Day. First ride since my crash. Still sore, but had a great ride. No joke about the Bike Arlington teams. The "B" team is 4th today. I see Appleton is #5 on the community list. You guys rock!!
