Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

what size frame is that? it looks tiny with those wheels/set up

Just realized how little room there is to work with on the seatpost of that Roundtail.

Thanks! I went away on vacation for a couple weeks, and sadly meant no bike. But still, I'm putting up mileage and I'm up around 600km. I do plan to keep commuting through the fall and we'll see how deep into winter the weather will let me get.

Labour Day I went out and broke 43km. I was pretty gassed for the last 7-8km though. But I'm working my way up.

I would say to go for it.
The Fuji looks like a lower end MTB, or an older MTB both of which don't hold much value on the market.
Just make sure it fits you, it looks like a small frame, & it's rolling on 650's, not 700's. I'm guess it's closer to 48-50" frame.
I have no idea/experience with Principia but it looks to be a good starter bike.

What sort of offers are you getting for your MTB?

As for wheels, I ran out of funds (rebuilding my race car to be street legal) so those 60mm carbon tubs will have to wait another month or two

I've since changed the seat to an Arione CX and stem is ARX PRO -6 80mm (much more comfortable)

Thanks guys! Yep, fitting with Clovis! Those guys took great care of me. There were times in the process of buying that even I found myself annoying! But they were very tolerant and kept me posted every step of the way

I'm trying to make my bike "flow" better. I kinda like how it looks now but feel it could be more. It's just a CAAD8 but I still like a nice looking bike. Debating whether to make the saddle black and bar tape black or green (changing saddle anyways due to pain). Or maybe some non zipp decals to the rims. Any suggestions on other things is appreciated

Just picked up this Raleigh Grand Prix off of CL today for $70. Needs a front brake.

Here's my fathers Motobecane Grand Record that he rode around on in the 70's. I posted a pic of the head badge in another thread and a member here wanted to see more pics of it so here it is!

Sorry for the shadowy pics!

I like it as is...
If you want to change something, how about a white stem, & black crank arms/pedals.

I haven't posted anything on these forums in YEARS, but I figure since I finally picked up my first new road bike since 2006, I might as well start again with this...

Focus Izalco Pro 4.0. Completely stock. No plans to change anything other than maybe the wheels, but even those are great for OEM wheels.

+1 on the black cranks pedals, also white/green bottle cages would make sense. I like it like this
