There is a seller locally that is selling one of these ebikes. Says it has been sitting for a while and the battery doesn't hold a charge. Probably needs a new battery. Doesn't look too bad in the pictures he has shared. He says it has been garaged.
What is a good offer for one of these? I know that this is a favorite reliable bike esp. in Europe. Also, is someone making aftermarket batteries for these that perhaps hold a better longer lasting charge?

new they cost $1,299.00. so it will cost you about 300 to 600 to replace the battery with LiFePO4 battery or more. So I'd say 350 to 500 tops.
