Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks guys! I got a reply from Sarto today regarding the history of the frame - very cool!

The rovigo is a a Columbus Brain leftover 30 years old. It was ordered by a racing team in Spain that closed down before taking delivery of the frames.

I found them in the basement, and I had the idea to offer them as a vintage frame.

I can't explain why but I really like those November frames. Rotate the crank a bit and line up the valve stems and I'll give you a hot.

I did eff up the photo a bit. I like the frame a lot and it fits me well. I raced and mostly rode my caad 9 all last season. In the fall I went back to the November for team rides / centuries. The difference was not insignificant. The November is both stiffer and more comfortable as well as being a good bit lighter (components as well as frameset in my case). It just does everything better. This experience has convinced me to race carbon next year. It would probably be best if this post was not shared with the caad 9 aficionados of BF.

I hope it does not esplode.

I can overlook the stem and seatpost and appreciate the Roubaix for the overall package. Hot!

I'm conflicted on this one - colors and components are great and it looks the biz, but the set-up seems so... city hybid.

I have to agree, this is definitely one hot ride, but by all means change the seatpost.

most colored tires look stupid to me. I used to think they were cool as hell, but now I just think they make a bike look cheap MOST of the time. I have seen a couple bikes that surprised me though and looked good. The red tires on this bike could pull it off, but I think it would make the bike look less classic and more on the "cheap" side. thats just my personal opinion.

The wheel decals are really distracting on this one. I would remove them.

I would have gone with the 55 if available and run a setback post and longer stem. Not a whole lot of seatpost showing there and the stem looks like 80 or 90mm. You could get to a pretty similar position with your bars running a stem with less drop and a shorter spacer stack which would look better and also stiffen up the front end. Play around with the "compare" feature of this and see what you come up with.

Alas the decals are under a clearcoat but I actually don't mind them all that much.

55cm wasn't available. I think I'm going to nudge the seatpost up a little more before my next ride. I'm still getting the fit dialled in. I have a proper bike fit session in a week's time so I'll get it perfect then.

As for the stem, I just really, really hate the aesthetics of stems with rise on frames with horizontal top tubes. I'm thinking I'll probably switch to compact drops soon since I have smallish hands and I'm not keen on these current bars, so when I've made that change and gone through the fit session I should be able to tidy up the steerer a little.

That Bianchi is sensational. Wear out the yellow and then move on to a new color.

The all black thing was passe long ago. Reminds me of Hotblack Desiato or maybe a turd.

I think the tires are too much. Everything else...Hot! About time someone posted a build that isn't red, black, or carbon.
