Took the plunge, got a Scott
After 1 1/2 years of riding a 30 lb. Schwinn steel/aluminum dinosaur that I got at WalMart, I finally took the plunge. Put a deposit on a 2012 Scott CR1 Team. Feast yer eyes:

Boy, does it feel good to finally be getting a real bike. Spent over a year building up the "motor" (endurance), which is good, but I've really outgrown that clunker. At least now old ladies won't laugh and little kids won't throw sticks in my spokes anymore.

Congratulations, looks like a great bike. Now post a picture of yours, links to the site don't count.

Got a good clearance deal too from a local shop, which is surprising since the prices jumped significantly for the 2013s and I thought all the 2012s would have been long gone.

Let's face it though. It's no Addict. That model has been discontinued.
But you can catch the spirit of that bicycle in the Addiction thread. Or the latest chapter, anyway.

Love my Scott too! Great choice!! And it's great to see someone looking forward to getting, and already appreciating, their bike instead of looking to the next model up the chain! Plan your route for that first ride! I was nervous riding mine the first time...took it out for only 20km and washed it as soon as I was home again!

Well, I put 1/3 down and won't actually have the bike until next month when it's paid in full, so perhaps I can avoid the flogging.

Congrats on the bike. A huge difference in weight from the other, I believe they are 17.4lb stock. You'll be flying compared to the schwinn.
I'm going to be getting a 2013 CR1 team within the coming month. Will likely upgrade the groupset/wheels later on. sram red and some carbon wheels. one can dream.
