Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Slammed foward on a setback post I can imagine. In fact, I wish there were more offerings for less-setback posts, like 15mm setback. Slammed forward on a zero setback post just seems like it would only be fitting for a TT position.

Nice S2, BTW.

I've had the saddle in a position that didn't look that silly before, but I always found myself sliding forward anyway, so I just left it there so my man-regions wouldn't cry. But I'm 80% sure being closer to the BB means more power, right?

Bear in mind - the team colors will change, and today's colors will soon be as out-of-fashion as those tried looking old USPS Treks.

(The team colors have already changed since Liquigas quit and Cannondale took over the whole shebang.)

Yea, the 2013 now has some blue again. I think it's a great looking bike, no matter what team rides it or not. I got my CAAD8 in those colors before I even knew the liquigas team existed, I just have a soft sport for that paint scheme I guess.

Thanks to all posters

Thanks for all the pictures and postings related to CAAD. I went all carbon two years ago and thought metal bikes were done. Then I discovered this thread. I started riding the CAAD5 again and realized I really like the firm ride. After seeing all the pictures of the more recent CAAD's, I got hooked and recently purchased a CAAD10 frame. Here's a pic. Hopefully, it posts.

Here's a tech question. What bottom bracket can you recommend? I have a SRAM press-fit 30 and it looks too big to fit in the bike's BB30 shell. Any help appreciated.

As I recently learned, PF30 and BB30 are not the same outside diameter. You need to pick up a BB30 specific BB. Near as I can tell it's just a couple bearings and snap rings.

Awesome CAAD! I'd love to pick one of those frames up and start building a bike for fun next winter. Just piece it together with a stellar frame.

That CAAD 8 is really nice looking, love that colourway, the best of the CAAD 8 choices IMHO.

Seymour, nice new avatar, like the HSC-26 squadron patch, keep those 'Hawks flyin' low and fast.

About an hour all told. 30 or so on the trainer last night, and 30 or so today @ lunch as a "getting to know you" ride. The weekend should see another couple of hours or so easy.

Even so, I'm in love with it already.

After everything you've posted in the past, it would be very difficult for us to believe that this one is truly authentic, tsk, tsk, tsk...

We'll need more than just that half-of-a-bike pic.

You have burned your name and no one trusts you. Is this supposed to be like this on the chainstay? Even if this is a real picture, most people wont care because of your previous posts.

Unless I'm missing something, that's how they're supposed to be? The "10" is offset from each side.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say we finally have at least one real wheel... assuming the pic is of a bike that actually belongs to said user.

My bike is in need of something nice, I'm waiting on some new shoes (tires), garmin mount, and a new wheelset. Photos up soon!
P.s. I wasn't here for the fake posting drama but I guess that just goes to show how awesome the Cult of Caad is... we have people pretending to have caads hahaha
