Drops to knees and screams WHY????
No words...sighs... What did they do to deserved this? They looked in mint shape and now destined to be soda cans.

What I don't get is that it's just for the frame and fork but he's taking close up photos of that atrocity of a crankset? They probably just floated away when he unbolted them from the bottom bracket from how lightweight they were from all that drillium work. lol.
Being it's just the frame and fork for sale maybe they had a proper burial since they're not listed in the rest of his auctions.

There was a guy I raced against that had a set of Sugino cranks with similar amounts of metal removed, it took a year, but at the start of one race when the gun went off and all were out of the saddle to get going... SNAP. DNF for him. After that all the drillium stuff came off his bike.
Kind of brings Marathon Man to mind.

I tried to drillium a set of campagnolo record lever blades once... they were badly scratched. I didn't get very far and tossed the lever blade... This is crazy, you think he would have stopped when he realized it looked like crap.

Background checks should be done on all people that buy drills, drill presses and drill bits........so we can avoid this kind of C&V component carnage!

I've got an old Italian hard plastic "Grand Prix" saddle that I'm gonna drillium the crap out of. It's made of this really thick, heavy, inflexible polyethylene that makes a basic Unicanitor look like an engineering marvel. I doubt I'll be able to to beat that guy in sheer ugliness, however.

I noticed all the German war stuff also but didn't want to bring it up. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Make copies of the photos. On the photos draw a large and thick red circle with a red diagonal line. Tack up next your list of items to do on a new C&V.

Maybe he just wanted lots of places to put a padlock to secure his bike.
Although it's hard to see why anyone would steal it, given what he did to it...
