This should help a little bit. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...aTe-bicycle-co

We get a thread or two about each week with someone inquiring about State Co. I advise reading up some on them through the search function of the message board, there is plenty of material there to gain what you are looking for.

I ride a State bike and have bought at least 15 bikes from State for buddies and friends etc over the last 6 months or so and have only had 1 problem and that was a tire.. not their problem, they warrantied it out for me without question. I like the frame, I have the Zombie Stomper in a 52.. I am 5' 9" and it feels great to me. I have been overly happy with my State bike, but its the ONLY fixed I have ever owned (other than BMX and Cruisers) so I cannot compare to any other bike. I put a few hundred miles a week on my State bike and really enjoy it, thats all I can say. Also they have excellent to work with.

Correct, actually they are about 7 miles from my house and what does that have to do about how I have been treated there or the fact i have had no issues with my bike nor have any of my friends who ride their bikes? or any of the 20+ people who show up to the twice weekly group rides they put on?

Liking something doesn't automatically make it good quality, nor does it make the purchase a good value. I loves me some Big Macs, and they're terrible.

Any request for a brand recommendation in this particular sub-forum is going to come with a hefty serving of confirmation bias, both for and against. At least some of us are trying to be objective about it.

I remember when it was mostly IRO and the Bikesdirect thread would get the shill sticker on this sub-forum. Now it's all up in a new level of lame with Bleeders and Hate bikes with BD bikes being the reliable go to.

My .02 I have had the kilo tt and loved it although the components left everything to be desired. Due to that I spent a fair bit replacing things. Ended up trading it for a BMX regrettably

And now I have a State Contender, also love this bike. Components can be left untouched and it's a great bike for the money IMO, however the frame leaves something to be desired. Frame is cheap and heavy but the geometry (for me) is great.

I would have gone with a Kilo tt pro had it been in stock in my size but I'm not even a little disappointed with the State

Also I'd like to point out that the standard State vs the standard Kilo I'd go kilo

We're getting all the State questions because the State Bicycle contest that is stickied at the top of the page is probably getting us even higher SEO ranking than usual when someone googles about them. So then they create an account, don't read ****, and post a question.

Whining on the whine. Tour of Vine Country here! On colorful tin cans, no less. Must hurt one's backside.

At first when I saw you quoted me again I was like "Hope I don't have to make him sound stupid again."

Then I read your post and was all "Oh perfect, he made himself sound stupid!"

I like this system.
