If you can swing it, the Wlliams are not bad, even going Carbon you can get the 38 or 60 for 1,099. I only have personal experience with Boyd so I can't speak for performance with the Williams. As for Boyd (who is a member on this forum) my wheels are exceptional. They provide everything I need, stay true, and just work. Shoot him an email, you'll see he is a great guy, even though he has a business to run he takes the time to inform the customer and answer questions. Both Boyd and his wife are in the business as well as cyclists themselves. Great people to deal with.

Would you say the difference with your new wheels is a "huge" improvement? Or just a decent improvement?

For me, it was a huge difference. NOT because the Boyd vitesse wheels were that much worse, they were just older technology, older shape, older design. The newer vitesse wheel is stronger, the 23mm width and I believe even lighter. My vitesse wheels came in at 1480g with veloplugs. ONLY thing I really dislike about the new vitesse wheels is that the "vitesse" is etched into the wheel, so there is no option to take the sticker off if one wanted to.
My Enve wheels are a newwer technology, much stiffer and more aero. Thats why I felt such a big advantage in my new ones. so yes, I would say it was a "huge" difference. BUT you must keep in mind it is a COMPLETELY different type of wheel. Cant complare the two because they are on two different planets.

These are questions to ask Boyd.....but Bianchi named a few....the wheels are new for this year, new hubs, wider rim section, laser etched logos, and they're are relatively light. I went a sted down from the Vitesse and got the Rouleurs because that was my budget limit at the time and I needed a strong wheel. At 225 lbs these wheels don't flex under me at all. No complaints.

The 20/24 spoke count is sold out for those. He has the 24/28 available for $20 more a difference of only 45g

The improvement is they are wider, different build design and now Boyd owns the new designed hubs where as before he outsourced with bitex hubs (I think)

"For you being on the gulf with a lot of winds, the 58mm depth may be a bit much in the crosswinds and a lot of people don't like to run tubulars as their everyday training wheels in case of a flat. "

Tex the vitesse is a solid wheel. I understand you wanting deep section wheels though. I like them not for the "aero" effect, but I just think they look really nice honestly. If I could afford a Supersix Evo and some 44mm Boyd clinchers I would buy both right now...lol

shipping is fast, mine was only two days but I live closer to South Carolina than you, should be three for you. post a pic of your bike with the wheels once they arrive and you install them.
