Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Bike Day!!! WOOT. Ti Warbird....

Yeah Baby...

Bike is STIFF. Takes off like a ROCKET. Love it...

I slapped a Selle Italia C2 on it already... For pedals I have Speedplay Drillium platforms on it, I ordered some Time clipless as well. Frankly, I love the Drilliums, they stick to your feet, great just horsing around town pedals. They weigh a ton...but, who cares!!!:

going with iclics or atacs for the clipless? i love atacs, have no real need for road pedals anymore. but i will say, those drilliums look a little silly... like a winch on a porsche boxster.

What does it say when you go into your garage and it smells like a bike shop?

It's a sublime irony....lmao. All kidding aside though, the grip is superb on those platforms.

I'm going to try both...I really like the mechanism on the iclics; that's what they had in the shop, but I do want to try the MTB pedals because the shoes are much more practical.

Sweet! Looks like a great all round rider. I love my Salsa Chili for commuting, cross and general riding. The Warbird looks like a great ride especially with the disc brakes and cushy Ti ride. The compact crank is fine for the trail hills. Congrats.

Thanks... 46x11 is plenty of top end... Sugino makes an interesting crank the OX801D... They call it the Compact+ 46t and 30t chainrings... Very low Q factor. Quite the wide range of gearing there and I know of a few hills where that just may be the ticket...
