Favorite Post Ride Beer
Alright guys (and gals) let's hear it. What is your favorite post ride beer to guzzle, sip, or however you may enjoy it after a nice day of riding? I'll go first, for me a nice wheat beer like Hefeweizen just seems to hit the spot, and the colder the better. What is your favorite?

i know it's got no cache, but i like bud light. few calories, no bitter taste, and i can down a couple without thinking about it. doesn't hurt that i get them for about 60 cents each, either.

Beer...
Personal favorites are anything from New Belgium Brewery. But I won't turn down free beer.

Sorry...
Alcohol is a depressant and suppresses ADH, so further dehydrates. It took me decades to realize this. For me, it's chocolate milk, or water. Warm green tea in the winter.

Definitely not an performance enhancer in itself, but it can be an experience enhancer in the right circumstances. As such, I reserve it for special occasions or accomplishments. Typical training or weekly group rides do not qualify.

My corner bar carries a house tap that is brewed by Schell's; it's an amber ale and quite good. I also enjoy Fat Tire, Blue Moon, Summit EPA, and Sam Adam's usually has a good seasonal beer. Whatever I drink has to be off the tap though. Drinking canned or bottled just gives me a headache for some reason...

Anything with some flavor to it. No lite beer or American-style beer of my younger days. Had a Guinness Extra Stout on St. Pat's Day. Always a good choice.

I second the call for anything from New Belgium, a bike-enthusiast brewery, makers of Fat Tire Ale, heck, New Belgiums logo is a bike! I have been in love for two years with their Ranger IPA. I keep trying them all, but Ranger speaks to me...no, it whispers in my ear like a mischievous lover. But first a couple of rounds of water, and maybe even more on hot, dry days.

On occasion I will guzzle a ice cold Miller Genuine Draft after a ride
most of the time I have unsweetened ice tea
"good" beer tastes like yuck to me (cant stand it)
now a tumbler of Hine cognac on ice is a different story

My go to beer is Fat Tire, mainly because for some reason Rolling Rock has gotten hard to find around here. Used to be able to find it in bars and stuff but not anymore. Anyway, both beers are pretty good and don't make me feel like I've wasted my money on it.
But, every few weeks I like to go to the liquor store and pick up a couple of six packs of something interesting. I've really enjoyed everything I've had from Breckenridge Brewery.
