Electra townie with a surly 1x1?

Hello folks

I am starting a project and would like to know if a townie electra that came with a suspension fork would work on the Surly 1x1 suspension corrected fork? The frame currently has a threaded headset, so I realize that would need to be replaced. Also the only part that I would have to purchase for this would be the headset, since I already have fork, stem, and bars with accessories.

Thanks
