Got some super cheap S-works shoes to try out. My bont's aren't wide enough.

Just snagged a barely used Miche advanced crankset (144 BCD) and BB off the bay. Got em for less than the cost of a set of Andels and a new BB. Pretty stoked!

A Continental Sprinter Duraskin 25mm tubular tire from Amazon. This is the first time I've ever ordered a bicycle part directly from Amazon itself, and not from some bicycle vendor via Amazon. The Amazon price was the lowest I could find, even lower than the lowest eBay price. Tubular tires are not all that common, and it's surprising that Amazon would even bother stocking them.
Amazon.com : Continental Sprinter Gatorskin Duraskin Bike Tire, Black, 28-Inch x 25mm : Bike Tires : Sports & Outdoors
Edit: There's another vendor listed on Amazon that is selling this tire for about $5 less, mostly due to Amazon collecting Texas sales tax whereas third party vendors don't, but I'm sticking with Amazon because they are more reliable and better to deal with if there's a problem.

Well, after being flamed and shamed over that shirt (I really didn't mean to ruffle feathers), I ordered these to try the fixed gear world. I'm in my later 60's with an old sports injury and thought single gear was about as simple as I wanted to get, but I'm willing to try. I think fixed is really the purist form of bicycling and was remiss in elevating single gear to that level. Seriously, you guys who ride fixed are really a courageous bunch. Track stands may be too much of a PITA to learn and use, but if I can...whoopie for the old man!

Well, first bike at age five was the biggest thrill I'd had up to that point, and I've been a riding enthusiast for many decades since. A dozen century rides, sew-up tires and Tubasti, a few not-too-serious crashes, some high end bikes, etc. etc. Yeah, I guess you'd say I love riding......
