New to Road Cycling but Not New to a Bike
Hi all,
I am obviously new to the board, and I am interested in learning about the culture of road cycling. I recently purchased a 2014 CAAD 10 to begin training for the Iron Man in Hawaii. My goal is to complete the course in the allotted time by my 45th birthday (approx 5 years). I know I have a looooooong road ahead of myself to be able to complete that course, and cycling is one of the longer stages of it. In order to complete the course I will need to become very familiar with the culture of road cycling (i.e. language, etiquette, tricks...). I'm hoping you members of the board will help me with this.
I'm familiar with how message boards work, so I'll be sure to post my threads in appropriate forums. So for now, I'm saying "hi".

Welcome to Bike Forums. The CAAD 10 is a good bike. The folks in the Road Cycling forum and the Triathlon forum can offer some helpful advice.
