I have been thinking about this for a while... Put me on the list. I would be glad to make someone's trash my treasure, and I think I have some trash that others will treasure.
Out of curiosity, I don't notice a rule, and didn't look through the list of names. When will those members who participated early on be able to get back in line?

As soon as a recipient has put the box back into circulation, as far as I'm concerned, he/she is eligible to be re-added into the queue again. Anyone have any objections?
Thanks guys for catching up the sent/received dates for me. We're back to normal operating temperature!

I did a mini-reboot. The box didn't seem to be so much a box as a bunch of tape lined with cardboard. I also found some stuff which I thought needed to go:
I couldn't see that we needed three Simplex front derailleurs, two of which were incomplete or bent. I put the Huret odometer and the half a shifter set in the last time I got the box. I guess nobody wanted them. I put plenty of other headset bits into the box to replace the rusty ones in the picture. The crank arms (at least the aluminum one) have been there awhile. Hopefully my replacement parts are adequate.
I did take a couple shifters:
If I'm lucky, the SunTour Power Shifters in the bag will mate up to the Shimano clamp and wind up on my Schwinn Superior. Cross your fingers...
Now a small confession. I completely forgot to look up the next crap wrangler, so I don't yet have an address. That will delay things a bit more. However, the box is packed and taped up, ready to go.

Thanks for the updates, guys. Skip, no worries on the delay. I'm finding myself mellowing out with age and I don't get so worked up about the rules anymore (maybe also because I'm out of the Navy almost a year now, too? Could be!).
I'm sure you'll get 'er done as soon as you can. Good enuf for me
Anybody else out there looking to join the fun? Post your add-request here and I'll hook you up.

Dropped the box off at the post office late this afternoon.
While I'm thinking about it, everybody knows you can get a couple bucks off on the postage if you purchase it online at usps.com, right? Just print the label (I used plain paper today because I couldn't find my sticker labels) and tape it on... No need to stand in line at the post office to buy postage either.

Send me a pic when you get it made. It was sitting around in my parts bin for a couple years after getting it from Perg in one of his "suprise boxes". Maybe making a bottle opener out of it never occurred to me because I don't drink beer. :-/

I have received the box, yesterday actually but I have not yet had a chance to look through it.
My son recognized what it was and opened it. He has already made some suggestions for what I should pick and put in the box. Pictures should be up later tonight or tomorrow morning.

The selection in the BOC was the best I have seen it this time around. My son is really getting into it apparently. Unable to wait for me to get home he opened the box and went through it so I didn't get a picture of it as it was first opened.
This was my haul
This is what it looked liked before I closed it. I expect to have the box in the mail in the next day or two.

I know 'my cat peed on it' sounds a lot like 'my dog ate my homework' but I swear, it happened. He is old, bat ***** crazy but somehow still quite loveable. We found him as a half-dead, emaciated, abandoned kitten. My wife nursed him with a medicine dropper and he has been with us ever since, the last 14 years.

Oh geez. And I thought the rotten fruit was pretty gross. Can it possibly get any worse than cat pee?
(Maybe I shouldn't have said that.)

Thanks for the update - totally understand; I've a cat and recently she's been peeing in the den. I have no idea why, but it's getting pretty frustrating. I can totally identify with mountaindave's post above!

Haha! The legend of the Box 'o Crap grows. It's been revived multiple times and has now endured rotten fruit and cat pee. @bici_mania, I feel totally understand! I have endured many a pet shenanigan. Most recent has been the complete decimation of my bike budget by our long hair chihuahua's newly discovered medical issues. Ah well, they bring a lot of joy.
@smontanaro I haven't gotten any traction on that bottle opener project yet. I will definitely show it off here once I do!

I'm ready for another go around with the box.
